When Ida gets on the underground at rush hour, she is right in the middle of it all. Among people - on her way to or from work. Among employers. She sits in the underground and is surrounded by work. As always and everywhere. Ida thinks. Maybe the person opposite is thinking that Ida might be an orthodontist. Maybe the person opposite is really happy in their job. Or really frustrated? Maybe they don't even have a job at the moment? Why are we working? When does being busy become work? What does work do to us? Why does work form such an elementary point of identification? A journey on the underground.
