Meeting points – Sonnenberg emotion map

What is an emotion map?!

An emotion map is a great help for both city residents and urban development planning. Thanks to concrete opinions from residents, the city receives feedback. At the same time, the emotion map shows locations with untapped potential. Organisations such as Taupunkt e.V. can hold performances and cultural events at such locations. Thanks to the emotion map, you can share what you need and what brings you joy. It may seem unimportant, but every entry says something about how we live in the city.

A two-day workshop is planned at Taupunkt e.V. in December 2025.

Ing. Arc. Helena Hlávková (author of the emotion map)

(*1973, Jihlava)

She graduated in architecture and urban planning from the Faculty of Arts and Architecture at the Technical University of Lublin (FUA). She worked in Petr Stolín’s studio while still a student and has been part of the SIAL, s.r.o. studio since 2003. She also works as an assistant in Radek Kolařík’s studio at the FUA and began her doctoral studies at the faculty in October 2022.

At SIAL, she worked on the interior design of the new headquarters of the Regional Gallery in Liberec, which was declared Building of the Year in the Liberec Region and also won the Grand Prix of Architects for Architecture. She received the Club Award for Altprag for the construction of the Regional Gallery’s depot in Liberec. In their interdisciplinary laboratory, Baumann&Stelzer&Jung experiment with BODY, HUMOUR AND MATERIAL as performative and choreographic elements. With a focus on exploring their artistic intersections, as well as humour as a link between their working methods, the group aims to develop new methods and forms of interaction between artists, material and audience. The interdisciplinary laboratory BODY, HUMOUR AND MATERIAL is the first joint project by Baumann&Stelzer&Jung. The aim of the laboratory is to explore the intersections of the three artists’ artistic practices and to develop a common pool of creative tools, aesthetic means and methods that will enrich their individual and joint creative processes in the long term. The focus is on the experimental exploration of body, humour and material as performative, choreographic and aesthetic elements. To this end, the three artists reflect on and further develop their previous experiences and transfer them to new contexts. With a focus on exploring and transcending their artistic boundaries, as well as humour as a link between disciplines and working methods, the group aims to develop experimental methods and explore new forms of interaction between artists, material and audience. To this end, they work both in internal sessions and in dialogue with other cultural practitioners and the Chemnitz audience of the OFF-Bühne Komplex, who are invited to a showing at the end of the lab. The aim is to broaden perspectives and gain new impetus for artistic research. In addition, the project contributes to strengthening interdisciplinary and nationwide cooperation in the independent performing arts and provides impetus for the cultural scene in Chemnitz. About the participants: Felix Baumann livesin Berlin and works in an international context. His hybrid practice combines physical theatre, contemporary circus, dance, installation and humour. His works, such as How Things Go (2020), Seismic (2022) andha ha hahi!(2025), explore the interplay of body, comedy and material, (de)construction and human-object ontology.  Teresa Stelzerinitially gained some journalistic experience and completed her BA in European Studies with a focus on cultural studies at Chemnitz University of Technology in 2011. However, she decided to pursue a career in the arts. She has been freelancing since 2015 and devotes herself to physical theatre in the form of stage plays, walk acts, collaborations and workshops. Carmen Jung –completed her B.A. in Puppetry in Stuttgart with her twin sister Julia and has been living in Chemnitz since 2017. In 2019, she co-founded the Verband der Freien Darstellenden Künste Chemnitz e.V.
