Dramatic Games

Jeux Dramatiques are methods that guide free play without a script or fixed roles. A story, a poem or a song can form the basis for a play. It is also possible to act out a theme or an image.

Just start playing. Theatre without fixed roles or a script, acting on your own ideas.

The course provides practical guidance on how to lead a Jeux with children of nursery and primary school age.

The fourth and final session of the course focuses on healing and developmental stories.

In all four sessions, the focus is on play; structure and methodology are taught through this approach.

The course is suitable for everyone, but particularly for educators working with children aged 3–10.

We want to discuss together how Jeux can be implemented in different groups.

Anyone who simply fancies a game is very welcome.

Upon completion of all four sessions, you will receive a certificate of attendance from Taupunkt e.V. upon request.

Facilitator: Katharina Buchmann, born 1981 – Theatre educator (BuT), MA in History and Slavic Studies. She studied in Leipzig and Warsaw and is a mediator specialising in school mediation and Non-Violent Communication (NVC) for children and young people. Since 2021, she has been working freelance with children and young people with diverse needs and backgrounds. Her work often focuses on self-awareness and building connections.
